The new collection from Jennifer Hogwood takes us way beyond the forests and fields of rural England. Alongside the loveable McMoos and theirmore familiar friends, she has introduced an exotic array of creatures portrayed in a fabulous new range of monochromes, colours, styles and finishes. 2018 was a year of change for Jen in which she moved fromWiltshire to Cornwall - a new home, a new studio and a very different way of life. She now lives a short walk from the beach and has been overwhelmed by the beauty of the sea, sky, cliffs, weather and of course the wildlife. Living by the sea has raised Jen’s awareness of environmental issues and has brought home to her the fragility of the natural world. Seeing the problems with her own eyes has influenced her path and this newwork reflects her love for our precious landscape and the wildlife that inhabits it. She has used a stunning range of materials to embellish her pieces with, such as diamond dust and gold leaf, to increase the impact of these bold centrepiece paintings, “giving these wonderful animals the attention they deserve”
